Winnipeg old school thrashers Besieged. Armed with their explosive, and incredibly heavy thrash sound which has been influenced greatly by bands like Sepultura, Obituary, Slayer and Kreator to name a few, they have burst onto the Winnipeg metal scene instantly after Visions of Pain was released. Since their first performance, to their latest, they are known for their great presence, and sounding extremely crisp, tight, and loud. Besieged's fanbase is constantly expanding. Their fans are as big of rabid metalheads as the band members themselves. They have been causing so much mayhem and violence at shows, ending up getting Besieged banned from the West End Cultural Center. Still young, but incredibly talented, Besieged make it loud and clear that they are a strong presence in the Winnipeg metal scene. Grab your Jim Beam, head down to the show, and jump in the pit.... In the wise words of the band, "We're a thrash metal band from Winnipeg and all we wanna do is get drunk, and play some heavy fucking shit!"
